Weekly Design Inspiration: Kitchens
Another week has flown by and I sure hope the warm weather arrives soon as it’s been a really long winter.
It’s Friday and you know what that means; I’m sharing all of the Pinterest photos that have inspired me this week.
Today, I want to talk about kitchens. I’m a big lover of white kitchens because they are classic and timeless but lately I’ve been crushing on coloured cabinetry and mixing in multiple finishes.
Here’s what caught my eye this week…
Green in the Kitchen
Green is hot and I’m obsessed!. Check out my CTV Morning Live segment where I discuss what’s trending for 2019.
There are tons of shades and variations that you can incorporate. Take the kitchen below for instance, it uses the colour Billiard Green by Sherwin Williams. I also love the addition of a runner in a kitchen because it adds visual interest and lots of texture and softness.
These countertops have me drooling - they are simply perfect and work so well with the cabinetry that was colour matched to Waterworks Wellie.
Blue in the Kitchen
Next up … Blue. How amazing is this kitchen with blue cabinetry, wood beams and white countertops and backsplash!
White Wood in the Kitchen
Last but not least, I am IN LOVE with white and wood - specifically white oak. Adding the wood adds warmth and texture and provides tons of interest. The key is to add small touches or incorporate a lot of white to break it up and prevent the wood from feeling heavy.
